Silver Pheasants - Juveniles 4-6 months
Silver Pheasants spend most of their time on the ground, and typically only fly when threatened. They are friendly birds and will mix quite well with other fowl. The males are black and white, while the females are smaller in stature, and brown. They talk to each other through chirping and whistling. This breed is truly a collector’s delight!
Breeding season is usually March-June. The females will nest on the ground, and you can expect up to 12 eggs in a clutch. Diet consists of seeds, fruit, greens, invertebrates, and game bird pellet.
Our pheasants are not pinioned. Wing clippings are available at an additional $2.50 per bird, and the trimming can last for 4-6 months.
